CCWA&ICE in Ozone Park, New York
[258 fans in attendance]
A special event to commemorate the Invasion of Normandy in 1944 during World War II. Featuring talents signed to Showtime-Wrestling.com.
What a wild night of action packed action taped in front of a live audience for future digital distribution on various online platforms!
Schorg Bros [Chris/Ricky] defeated Dos Villanos [Legion/Doom]. This was a quick match to highlight the twins' dope tag team moves. Having grown up just down the street, Schorg Bros were incredibly over with the fans.
Akoni Van Dam defeated Brice McQueen via submission with a Hawaiian Lion Tamer. At 70 years old, it was surprising to see McQueen put up the fight that he did. He used every dirty trick in the book, most of which he invented.
Alexa Skye defeated Lincoln Parka via pinfall with her feet on the ropes. Skye didn't take the bearded luchadore seriously and nearly lost until she distracted the ref with her curvaceous body and kicked Parka straight in the cojones.
Team MACKAID [Mack Davidson/Nick Kincaid] defeated League of Extraordinary Wrestling Dudes [Danny Legend/Teddy Gotch] Davidson and Legend were evenly matched in strength. The gamechanger was Kincaid brilliantly out-wrestling Gotch at every turn.
SCW National Champion Jason Christopher successfully defended against OutbreaK. This was now the eighth country these two have fought each other including: Canada, Mexico, England, Japan, China, South Africa, Afghanistan. They are now tied with four wins each.
SCW World Champion Jaime X Reyes defeated Apokalypse via disqualification after Genocide and Deathstar attacked Reyes. Nathan Gust and Lexi Sparkles made the save and challenged the champs to defend then and there.
Nathan Gust and Lexi Sparkles defeated Genocide and Deathstar to win the SCW Tag Team Championship! These two teams faced off at SCW Unlimited 110: Night of Champions on March 10 in Los Angeles. This match had a different result as the father/daughter duo won the titles.
Post match, Gust grabbed a microphone as Lexi cried with her first championship. The following is an exclusive video provided to AW Network by SCW.
"Ho-ly shit! That was fun! This was easily one of my favorite moments in my thirty year career. Not so much because of the match itself… but because I got to share this moment… with my daughter Lexi. She was pretty good tonight, huh?"
The fans go bonkers and some chant 'she was awesome' followed by five quick claps.
"Something bitter sweet also just happened. You all just witnessed the final match held at CCWA&ICE."
They unanimously boo that announcement.
"I know, I know. This building has been home to some of my favorite matches over the last thirty years… but it is time to shut it down. The silver lining is that our NEW facility broke ground this past Monday in Bayside… and EVERYONE here tonight will receive a legacy badge that gets you half off admission at all future shows there… FOR LIFE!"
They cheer again. This guy really knows how to get them with peaks and valleys.
"Starting next week… this building begins renovations and updates… and we plan to reopen it by the end of July as the Becky Thompson Community Center! It is named after my wife's mother and she would be--"
Before he can finish that statement, he is jumped from behind by an unknown assailant. The fans boo furiously as he unleashes a barrage of closed fists to . When Lexi tries to avenge her father, the man scoops her up over his shoulders and delivers a kneeling belly-to-belly piledriver. It is then that everyone realizes it is Frank Lowe. He boots Gust in the head as he starts to get up, then grabs the microphone as the fans rain down on him with trash.
"Did ya think I was going to let you stroll into Evolution 3 without a scratch on ya?! No fuckin' chance! You're as good as fuckin' dead in six days!"
He drops the mic and grabs Gust in a full nelson, delivering a potentially tailbone crushing bomb, followed up by a camel clutch submission. Frank laughs maniacally as the ring fills up with trash. He releases the hold when he sees the locker room clearing out, with Sara Pettis leading the charge.
Frank Lowe escapes the ring just on time and jumps the guardrail, physically fighting the fans who try to restrain him. He somewhat safely escapes the building as Sara and pals help Lexi and her father. They are helped up and look out at the standing ovation from the rambunctious crowd as the lights at CCWA&ICE go out for the very last time.
